Smart Fit  (SMFT3) is the market leader in clubs across Latin America, the world’s fourth largest chain in membership and the largest club outside the United States, whose mission is to democratize access to high-standard fitness, quality of life and wellness.

Currently, SMFT3 is present in 14 countries across Latin America and is the leader in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru in number of active members. It operates in the “high value low price” model through the Smart Fit brand and in the digital fitness segment through the Queima Diária brand.

The Company pioneered the high value low price model in Latin America. The first Smart Fit clubs were inaugurated in Brazil in 2009. Since the start of Smart Fit operations, the number of clubs in the group (including Bio Ritmo, O2 and Studios) increased from 55 on December 31, 2011 to 1,244 on March 31, 2023, at an annual average growth rate of 32% in the period. Of the total units in operation on March 31, 2023, 634 are located in Brazil, 260 in Mexico and 337 across Colombia, Chile, Peru, Panama, Cost Rica, Argentina, Paraguay, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Honduras. Smart Fit is present in more than 330 cities across 14 countries.

On March 31, 2023, the Company’s active member base (including digital members) reached 4.2 million, compared to 120,000 on December 31, 2011, reflecting average annual growth rate of 37% in the period. This accelerated expansion during the period was driven by the combination of successful club openings across Brazil and international expansion, with the entry in new markets across Latin America, as well as investments in digital platforms. The Company’s value proposition drove its accelerated growth that was agnostic to the macroeconomic scenario, underscoring the resilience of its business model.

The Company is also the leader in the digital fitness sector in Latin America and its apps offer a unique training experience with nutritional follow-up, through the B2C and B2B sales platforms. At the end of March 2023, exclusively digital members totaled 328,000.

Smart Fit has a strong culture of innovation that aims to constantly improve customer experience and the productivity of clubs. Ever since the launch of Smart Fit, it has revolutionized the concept of clubs, adding new spaces and equipment for varied training, which provide members with a more dynamic and productive experience in using the equipment and spaces at the clubs.

In addition to the HVLP clubs of the Smart Fit brand, the company operates premium gyms under the brand Bio Ritmo, and studios under the brands Race Bootcamp, Tonus Gym, Vidya Body & Mind, and Jab House.

The offering of premium services by Smart Fit is important for launching, developing and enhancing new concepts and trends in the fitness market, in line with the spirit of constant innovation that has always been the hallmark of the Company.
